# BlockAm > BlockAm is a free call blocker for iPhone and Android, made for Nigeria. Block one number, or a whole prefix like 0809 123 in one go, and those calls never ring again. No ads, no contact upload, and calls are never recorded. BlockAm ("block am" is Nigerian Pidgin for "block it") is a call blocking app for Nigerian phones. Users keep a blacklist of exact numbers and number prefixes; matching incoming calls are declined silently on the phone itself. Key facts: - Block one number, or a whole prefix: "0809 123" blocks 0809 123 0000 to 0809 123 9999 (10,000 numbers). - Android 10+: real-time call screening, any prefix of 3+ digits, blocked calls listed in History. - iPhone (iOS 16+): uses Apple's Call Directory, so each prefix can cover at most 100,000 numbers (6+ digits for an 11-digit Nigerian number). Users switch it on in Settings > Apps > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification. - Blocking works offline. An account (email) syncs the blacklist and history across the user's phones. - Never reads contacts or the call log, never records calls, no ads, no tracking, no shared number database. - Blocked call history is kept 365 days, then deleted. Account deletion is in the app (Settings > Delete account & data). - Price: free. - Support: support@blockam.dev Download: - iPhone: App Store listing coming soon (iOS 16 or later) - Android: Google Play listing coming soon (Android 10 or later) ## Pages - [Home](https://www.blockam.dev/): what BlockAm does, how it works, a live rule tester, privacy promises and FAQ - [Help and support](https://www.blockam.dev/support): fixes for calls still ringing on iPhone or Android, sign-in codes, new phones - [Privacy policy](https://www.blockam.dev/privacy): data collected, retention, providers, rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act - [Terms and conditions](https://www.blockam.dev/terms): the agreement for using BlockAm - [Delete your account](https://www.blockam.dev/delete-account): in the app or by email ## Optional - [Full text for AI assistants](https://www.blockam.dev/llms-full.txt): this summary plus the FAQ, privacy policy and terms in plain text
