Terms & conditions

The rules of the gate.

The agreement for using BlockAm, in plain words: what the app does, what it can’t promise, what we ask of you, and how to leave.

Last updated 10 October 2026

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Netpro Africa (“we”, “us”), who run BlockAm. By creating an account or using the BlockAm app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use BlockAm.

How we handle your data is explained in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

What BlockAm does

BlockAm lets you keep a blacklist of phone numbers and number prefixes. When a call comes in from a number that matches, your phone declines it without ringing. On Android, blocked calls are recorded in your History.

BlockAm works within the limits Apple and Google set for call blocking apps. In particular, iPhone can only block a list of exact numbers, so very wide prefixes block on Android but not on iPhone. The app tells you when a rule is too wide for iPhone.

What we can’t promise

We work hard to make blocking reliable, but we can’t guarantee that:

  • every call you want blocked will be blocked (for example if blocking is switched off in your phone’s settings, the operating system stops the app, or the caller hides or changes their number);
  • no call you want will be blocked. A wide prefix can catch people you know. Check your rules before you add them.

Emergencies. BlockAm never blocks the calls you make. But it may block calls back to you from a number that matches your list, including from services you might need in an emergency. Don’t block numbers you may need to hear from.

Your account

  • An account is required. Give a real email address you can receive codes at.
  • Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
  • One account is for one person. You can use it on all your own phones.
  • You must be 18 or older, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission to use BlockAm.

Using BlockAm fairly

Please don’t:

  • try to get into other people’s accounts or data, or into our systems;
  • overload, scrape or automate the service, or get around its limits and bot checks;
  • copy, change or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it;
  • use BlockAm for anything unlawful.

We may limit, suspend or close an account that does these things, and we’ll tell you why where we can.

Price and changes

BlockAm is free and has no ads. We may add, change or remove features over time. If we ever introduce paid features, we’ll say so clearly in the app first, and nothing will be charged without you choosing to pay in your app store. If we decide to shut BlockAm down, we’ll give you reasonable notice in the app or by email.

What’s ours, what’s yours

The app, its design, the BlockAm name and the mark belong to us. Your rules and your history belong to you: we use them only to provide BlockAm to you, as the privacy policy describes. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on phones you own or control, under these terms and your app store’s rules.

App Store and Google Play

You get BlockAm through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, and their terms also apply to that download. If there’s a conflict about the download itself, the store’s terms win.

For the iPhone app: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for BlockAm or its support, has no duty to maintain it, and isn’t responsible for any claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries.

Liability

BlockAm is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we don’t give promises about it beyond those in these terms, and we aren’t liable for indirect losses, or for calls that were or weren’t blocked.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under Nigerian law.

Leaving

You can stop any time. Settings → Delete account & data in the app deletes your account and everything in it, immediately. You can also ask us by email. Deleting the app alone doesn’t delete your account.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If something goes wrong, please write to us first; most things can be sorted out quickly. Otherwise, the courts of Nigeria will settle any dispute.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and for important changes we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they apply. If you keep using BlockAm after that, the new terms apply.
